Exercise, Food, & Body

If you have ever joined a gym or tried a diet, you may have also experienced a negative regard for your body in the process.  Research does show that exercise environments may have a negative effect on body image through social comparison.  This workshop addresses the challenges of taking on a new or existing exercise or health regime without having to contend with the negative inner chatter of "not enough".

We will explore ways to shift perspective that may support a healthy relationship with both body and food. Topics will include; the perils of fitness and diet culture, the common snake oil that comes with social media influencers, and how to shift perspectives and motivations for healthy changes that will lead to good health without the body shame.
