WORKSHOP: Navigating the Psychology of Food

Food is our friend, enemy, coping mechanism, and necessary for life. It can cause struggles, confusion, self-loathing, and rumination....but why? Why would something as innocent as a pizza, produce such emotional pain? If you struggle with food restriction, diet culture, or emotional eating, this workshop is for you! Topics will include; exploring our relationship with food in our culture, lives, and society. We will explore the failures of diets and how diets have failed us. We will breakdown popular ways of eating today including the sinister influences of "clean eating" and other health promotion messages that undermine our mental and physical health. You will benefit from the support and connection only group can provide and walk away with tools, strategies, and resources that could lead to a healthier relationship with food and body.  Where:          This 2 part workshop will be hosted online. COURSE: Body Image & Aging

It's common to read about body image on social media, books, and even workshops, but there is one unexplored realm related to body...aging!  How does one navigate the changes to our body as we move into our 40s, 50s, and beyond? Aging is not for the faint of heart and because of this, we are offering a 2 part workshop to explore this and offer skills/strategies to mitigate the negative emotional affect of wrinkles, weight gain, and hair loss (just to name a few).  This group will focus on aging, body image, fat, loss of identity/youth, and much more! This workshop combines psycho-education on loss, body image, eating, and exercise as it relates to aging. Additionally, we will be speaking to the hormonal shifts that are a part of pre/post menopause.  Participants will benefit from the support and connectivity that comes from group work and will take away strategies, tools, and resources to move into the next decade well.   This workshop is designed to leave space for practice and ex
